Most garden rooms on the market today are catalogue products. The same panels, the same glazing, the same paint colours, repeated across thousands of UK gardens. Useful for the buyer who wants quick and cheap. Wrong for an affluent Buckinghamshire home where the property and the garden deserve a building designed for them, not adapted from a brochure.
We started Buckinghamshire Garden Rooms because the gap between a garden shed and a luxury home extension wasn't being filled properly in this part of the country. Conservation Areas and AONB constraints meant generic catalogue rooms were either turned away by Council planning or sat awkwardly against period properties. The premium clients we now serve wanted bespoke design, premium spec, and a builder who knew the local planning landscape — at a fixed price, without late surprises.
That's what we do. Bespoke design from the survey forward. Premium specification: PIR insulation throughout, aluminium glazing, Part P certified electrics, Western Red Cedar or top-tier composite cladding. Hands-on planning support. We work with Buckinghamshire Council weekly, including in Marlow Conservation Area, Beaconsfield Old Town and the Chilterns AONB. And a fixed-price quotation that includes everything: foundations, build, finish, and planning preparation.
